Carnival officially began 2 hours, 13 minutes ago.
WOO-HOO!!!!
Just getting ready now to get all bundled up to head out to the statue site. It's about -20 degrees Farenheit right now with a bit of a Northeast wind coming off the lake. Light snow falling and cloudy. A bit cold, but good All-Nighter weather.
So many festivities in the following days. Friends and Alumni from around the midwest coming in for 5 days of drinking, partying, snow, drinking, skiing, socializing and drinking. This better be a fucking good carnival or I will seriously shoot someone.
It's my turn to have a good time for a change.
On that note, here are my simple things of the day:
* J will be here in less than twenty hours.
* Good soft jazz at dinnertime
* Grilled Cheese sandwiches on a cold night
* Neoprene gloves
* Mid-afternoon nap snuggled under 4 blankets
* Knowing I have Friday off from work
* J will be here tomorrow.
* Hugs from The Little
* Warm boots with good treads
